- Additionally, after wearing uncomfortable shoes, more than nine in ten women (94%) spend time and money pampering their feet**.
- Men are not the only ones concerned with foot freshness - 79% of women surveyed were interested in learning how to keep feet smelling fresh all day**.
Did You Know …
- Our feet bear a cumulative weight total of 1,000 tons a day.
- On average, women walk 3 miles further than the opposite sex per week - so it's critical that women wear footwear that fit properly!
- People's feet are usually 5 to 10 percent larger at the end of the day.
- Our feet contain more than 250,000 sweat glands; an average pair of feet will excrete as much as a pint of perspiration a day!
- 52 bones are located in the feet alone, which comprise 25% of the bones in the human body!
- The average person takes 8,000-10,000 steps a day, which adds up to roughly 115,000 miles during a lifetime. That's enough walking to circle the earth four times!
- Just as the average person has a dominant hand, there is also a dominant foot! The dominant foot is larger and corresponds to the hand you write with. When picking out shoes, try shoes on this foot first to ensure a proper fit.
